Mission: Et Tu, Brute?

Message Title: Senior Officer Diplomatic Dinner
Priority: High
Sender: Captain Rohana O'Touvelli
Recipients: Senior Staff

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In light of our recent operational status and the opportunity to have delegates on board, we will be hosting a semi-formal dinner to welcome them aboard, celebrate and get to know one another a little better. I expect that each of you will attend and therefore encourage you to bring significant others or plus ones should you wish to help alleviate the anxiety of social mixers. Please dress appropriately in uniform or dress clothing. Anything too revealing and I will throttle you later.

Special care has been taken to craft an appropriate mixed cuisine dinner. It's come to my attention that our guests are strict carnivores so do not be alarmed. This may mean that dinner will not be child friendly, but I have been reassured that the cuisine will not be live and will be season. A secondary dinner choice of a roast beef dinner will be served as well. Feel free to choose which menu you choose to partake of.

I'd also like to remind you that our esteemed guests will require gifts. Frequent gifts. I advise you now that should you be dealing directly with any of the delegates that they require a customary gift upon meeting each time. Not the first time, each time. I would suggest on stocking up on trinkets and expect to receive and marvel over whatever you're given. In my one brief encounter with a pair of kasheeta dignitaries I was gifted an Andorian finger bone and a lovely box of industrial staples. Be prepared.

I look forward to seeing all of you very soon. Eight PM. Officer's Mess, Deck Ten. This is prior to the official launch scheduled at 1430 hrs so long as nothing else vitally important happens/breaks or in some other way interrupts it.

Stay positive. Be prepared. Have a good day.
Capt. O'Touvelli
